About Me
My journey in technology began when I was a freshman in high school, sparked by my initial exposure to theater classes where I discovered a deep passion for the technological intricacies behind the stage. This early interest evolved as I attended the College of Santa Fe, transitioning into the Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD). Here, I solidified my commitment to theater technology, particularly at the Greer Garson Theater, under the mentorship of John Weckesser and George Johnson. Their guidance was pivotal; John helped me decide on a lighting major after being impressed by my high school project where I managed the lighting for "Night of the Living Dead" staged in authentic black and white.

Under George’s tutelage, I immersed myself in the production side, handling everything from stage crew duties to installing state-of-the-art sound systems. My academic and practical experiences at SFUAD were invaluable, teaching me the delicate art of merging analog and digital technologies during the theater’s major technological upgrades.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology, I continued to hone my skills and eventually took a pivotal role at SFUAD as a Resnet system administrator. This position involved managing network services for students and was a significant step towards blending my technical skills with strategic IT management.

My career took a professional turn when I joined La Familia Medical Center, where I advanced from an IT Specialist to the Director of Information Technology. In this capacity, I was responsible for overseeing the infrastructure of computer systems, ensuring the alignment of technological deployments with strategic organizational goals. This role encompassed a broad range of responsibilities, from system and security management to leading a team of system administrators.

In 2022, I accepted the position of IT Director at Hinkle Shanor LLP, where I continue to lead IT strategies and solutions. My role involves a comprehensive management of the firm’s technological needs, focusing on optimizing operations and enhancing security protocols.

Parallel to my professional IT career, I've been actively involved with Live Arts Santa Fe, serving in roles from board member to the President. This involvement has allowed me to stay connected to my first love—live theater—while applying my technical and managerial expertise to support the arts community.

My journey from a high school freshman fascinated by theater tech to an IT director in Santa Fe represents a blend of passion, education, and professional growth. It underscores my belief in continuous learning and adapting, traits that I bring to every aspect of my professional and volunteer endeavors.
